Tim was born in Australia, lost his mother to disease when just 10 years old and his father, raising four children on his own, encouraged all the older boys to cook a meal a week to help the running of the household. From these beginnings his love and interest in health, cooking and the meaning in transient life developed. Though initiated into Vedic Meditation at eighteen years old, he certainly has not lead the quiet life. He pursued a passion for adventure, the ocean, sailing and great maritime traditions. He has been a boat builder, a lighthouse caretaker, a tour guide, chef, sailor, scuba driver and ran his own business of marine restorations. But it was his love of Veda, Knowledge, that sustained him through the constant challenges in his life. He met his mentor Thom Knoles in 1988 and has maintained a close relationship since. At his inspiration Tim found Ayurveda and studied with many teachers in Australia, USA and India. Very quickly he saw that Ayurveda was alive and ‘singing Her song’ in the kitchen, and so has been presenting Ayurvedic Cooking Seminars around the world for the last seventeen years. He reminds us that all healing begins and is supported by what, and how and when, we eat. His 'One and Only Dish' (the vedanta of cooking) inspires people back to the kitchen and to go beyond recipes and to cook ‘in the moment’. He is now based in Prague, Czech Republic and he teaches Vedic Meditation, Yoga and ‘Ayurvedic Cooking and Living’ throughout Europe.
